Whether you are a dancer who thrives on innovation and always asks “What’s next?” , or a dancer who is always digging deeper to see where the roots go, asking “Where did this come from?” we have you covered at the Harvest Retreat!

Friday begins with a welcome dance party, followed by dinner and a discussion about belly dance history as we get ready to watch a belly dance documentary!
On Saturday you’ll begin your day with yoga, followed by a full day of workshops that will have you digging deep into the roots of North American belly dance. Dancers will need a yoga mat, notebook, finger cymbals, and water! After the full day of classes are over, we will meet up for an evening of snacks, discussion, and a few slumber party games that will keep our dance focus moving forward!
Sunday begins with yoga and energetic recharging, followed by lecture and dance workshop material that is all about the traditions and innovations involved in putting on an excellent show! Dancers will look back at classics that were once considered new, and “trendy” skills that go back farther than we thought! Dancers will need a yoga mat, balancing prop (sword, tray, pot), knee pads or leg warmers, finger cymbals, a notebook, and water.
Dancers will be ready to catch their ferries home after completing this grounding and inspiring weekend in the heart of the Pacific Northwest!
